What is HotHawk?

HotHawk is a cold email sequencer that sends multi-step campaigns and collects all replies in a shared master inbox that routes them to team members. Sales teams and agencies use it.

How HotHawk works with Curviate

Curviate posts LinkedIn events to HotHawk: replies and account alerts within seconds, accepted invitations within a few hours. Route them through n8n, Make or Zapier and shape each message the way your team likes.

What you can build

Three flows teams set up first. Each one takes a few minutes.

Every reply, in HotHawk

A new LinkedIn reply posts the message and the sender to the right place in HotHawk.

message.received

Accepted invites, celebrated

Your team sees each accepted invitation, with the person and the account it came through.

Account alerts

When an account needs to sign in again, its owner hears about it in HotHawk right away.

Set up HotHawk with Curviate

Everything runs on two things Curviate gives every account: signed webhooks out and a REST API in.

  1. 1

    Copy your Curviate API key

    In the Curviate dashboard, open Settings, then API & Webhooks, and copy your key.

    # keep it in your tool's credentials, never in plain text
    CURVIATE_API_KEY=cvt_live_••••3f9a
  2. 2

    Connect HotHawk to your automation

    Sign in to HotHawk inside n8n, Make or Zapier, or create an API key in HotHawk if you write your own code.

  3. 3

    Send Curviate events to it

    Point a Curviate webhook at an n8n, Make or Zapier webhook trigger, or at your own endpoint. Each webhook covers one source: messaging for replies, user for accepted invitations, motion for Motion outcomes, account_status for account alerts.

    curl https://api.curviate.com/v1/webhooks \
      -H "Authorization: Bearer $CURVIATE_API_KEY" \
      -d '{
        "source": "messaging",
        "events": ["message.received"],
        "account_ids": ["acc_…"],
        "request_url": "https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/…"
      }'
  4. 4

    Write to HotHawk

    Add the HotHawk step your tool offers, such as creating or updating a message, and map the fields from the Curviate event.

    # what your tool receives
    { "event": "connection.accepted",
      "data": { "account_id": "acc_…", "occurred_at": "2026-10-17T09:12:00Z", … } }
  5. 5

    Check the signature

    Every delivery carries a Curviate-Signature header: an HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp and the raw body, made with your webhook’s secret. Compare it before you act, and drop anything older than five minutes.

    Curviate-Signature: t=1792230000,v1=5f2c9a…e81b

    # expected = HMAC_SHA256(secret, t + "." + raw_body)

Questions about Curviate x HotHawk

Can each rep get only their own replies?

Yes. A webhook covers the accounts you pick, so each rep or team can have their own place in HotHawk.

Which events can I send to HotHawk?

Messages, accepted invitations, published posts, account status changes and every step of a Motion.

Do I need a developer?

No. n8n, Make and Zapier all have HotHawk steps, so you can connect the two without code.
